(TheRedAlertNews.com) – The Biden-Harris administration’s border crisis has reached new heights as illegal crossings at the U.S.-Canada border have skyrocketed to unprecedented levels.

Over 19,000 migrants from 97 countries were arrested in the Swanton sector alone during fiscal year 2024, surpassing the total count from the past 17 years combined.

This alarming surge exposes the current administration’s failure to protect American sovereignty and security.

Border Patrol Chief Robert Garcia reported that illegal crossings in the northern New York region have increased more than 50-fold under the current administration.

The Swanton sector, covering over 200 miles of border between Maine and the St. Lawrence River in New York, has become a hotspot for unauthorized entry.

This dramatic rise in illegal migration poses significant challenges for law enforcement and local communities.

The situation at the northern border has become so dire that nearly 190,000 illegals were caught crossing from Canada in fiscal year 2023, more than six times the number in 2021.

The Biden-Harris administration’s misguided policies have been blamed for the crisis as asylum restrictions do not apply to the northern border as they do in the south.

Local residents in Swanton, Vermont, are bearing the brunt of this crisis, witnessing migrant smuggling on their properties.

The situation has become so dangerous that some residents have been advised to carry guns for protection.

52-year-old local Chris Feeley shared his experience: “Now I’ve got the Border Patrol guys on speed dial.”

Unlike the southern border, the northern border is highly vulnerable due to a lack of barriers and limited law enforcement.

Adding insult to injury, Border Patrol agents have been reassigned from the northern to the southern border, leaving American communities exposed to potential threats.

This misallocation of resources highlights the Biden-Harris administration’s inability to effectively manage border security.

New York Rep. Elise Stefanik is leading the charge to hold the administration accountable for this border crisis.

The border crisis is not just about illegal immigration; it is also fueling an increasein drug smuggling.

From fiscal year 2021 to 2022, drug smuggling seizure weight increased by a staggering 596%, with significant increases in seizures of dangerous substances like fentanyl, khat, ecstasy, ketamine and methamphetamine.

The Biden-Harris administration’s attempts to address the crisis have been described as inadequate.

While it claims to encourage “safe, lawful pathways” for migrants, the reality on the ground tells a different story.

As the border crisis continues to escalate, it is clear that the current administration’s policies are putting American lives at risk.

With only 2,019 Border Patrol agents covering 5,525 border miles and some even being diverted to the southern border, our northern communities have been left wide open.
