(TheRedAlertNews.com) – More than 10,000 illegal aliens crossed the Southern Border into the United States in the Del Rio Sector in just one week, new data shows.
That’s just one sector of the border.
The Del Rio Sector encompasses the part of the US-Mexican border adjacent to Central Texas. It has been one of the “busiest” illegal immigration routes into America since President Joe Biden took office more than two years ago.
Del Rio Border Patrol officials revealed in a new weekly update that a little over 10,000 illegals entered their sector in the week ending on March 18.
However, nearly half of those illegal aliens were not even apprehended and fell in the “gotaways” category.
Thus, in the seven days between March 12 and March 18, Border Patrol agents arrested 5,571 migrants in the Del Rio Sector while also registering another 4,433 as “known gotaways.”
The figures were announced in a weekly recap video of Bracketteville Station Watch Commander Fernando Zavala, posted on Twitter by Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Jason Owens, Breitbart News reported.
The report indicates that the “known gotaways” are illegal immigrants who “were observed crossing the border or otherwise counted as having crossed without being apprehended.”
Thus, of the 10,004 illegal immigrants who are known to have crossed into the United States in the Del Rio Sector of the border in the said period, 44% were “known gotaways.”
“This does not include migrants who crossed without being observed,” the report explained.
Among the more than 5,500 newly apprehended migrants, there were six known criminals.
Two included two individuals convicted of drug trafficking, one convicted of assault, one sex offender, and two cases of criminal re-entry of a deported migrant.
Owens reported that in the week between March 12 and March 18, the Del Rio Sector Border Patrol also intercepted 74 cases of smuggling and seized one firearm.
It is noted that the Del Rio Sector of the Southern Border usually “leads the nation in the category of large migrant groups.” However, there was only one such encounter in the week ending on March 18.
More than 6 million illegal immigrants have invaded the United States since Democrat President Joe Biden occupied the White House 26 months ago.
Close to 2 million of those are estimated to be known and unknown gotaways, according to US Customs and Border Patrol estimates.
While the US-Mexican border has been the main migrant invasion route, more and more illegals are crossing into the US from the north after flying to Canada.
Del Rio Sector Border Patrol officials report just over 10,000 known border crossers during a seven-day period ending on March 18. The known border crossers include more than 5,500 migrant apprehensions and 4,400 known got-aways. https://t.co/FGexjPZuMT
