(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Late last night, while much of the country was asleep, the United States Department of Justice filed a motion concerning its search of former President Donald J. Trump’s home and office at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
In what at least one conservative publication has labeled the Deep State striking back at Trump’s assertions about the search and secret U.S. documents he had in his possession, the Department of Justice included in its court filing a photo of some of the top secret documents it seized from Trump’s office — including from a desk drawer — as a means of trying to convince the public it was justified in its search.
As Breitbart is reporting in “PHOTO: Deep State Strikes Back, Shows Top Secret Trump Docs in Court Filing“:
“The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) revealed a photograph of allegedly secret documents recovered during the raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence, arguing the former president’s legal team misled the federal government.
“In a new 36-page filing late Tuesday, the DOJ addressed the investigation into Trump and the former president’s compliance thus far.” [emphasis added]
As part of its lengthy legal filing, the Department of Justice wrote:
“The government also developed evidence that government records were likely concealed and removed from the Storage Room and that efforts were likely taken to obstruct the government’s investigation.
“That the FBI, in a matter of hours, recovered twice as many documents with classification markings as the “diligent search” that the former President’s counsel and other representatives had weeks to perform calls into serious question the representations made in the June 3 certification and casts doubt on the extent of cooperation in this matter.”
