(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Happening Now: A mass shooting has resulted in multiple fatalities at a hospital in Oklahoma.
Police indicate the armed attack took place at the St. Francis Hospital campus in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Reports from the scene indicate that five individuals are dead, including the gunman, who reportedly took his own life after shooting and killing the other four who are deceased.
Tulsa Police Department Deputy Chief Eric Dalgleish told reporters gathered at the scene that law enforcement officers responded within four minutes after receiving the first call that shots were being fired at the Natalie Medical Building.
Dalgleish further indicated that the attack was limited to one portion of the second floor and that no police officers were injured. Police contacted the gunman approximately five minutes after arriving at the crime scene.
Preliminary investigation shows that a rifle and a handgun were located at the crime scene and that both weapons were fired during the mass murder.
There are wounded victims in addition to the four civilians who were murdered.
