ALERT: Mass Shooting On Southern Border of United States

(DCWatchdog.com) – BREAKING NEWS REPORT UPDATE: Just as Title 42 is expiring, a tragic mass shooting has occurred in Yuma, Arizona, near the U.S.-Mexico border, resulting in two fatalities, one critically injured person, and four injured teenagers.

Two young men, aged 19 and 20, were declared dead at Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) following the shooting at 10:54 p.m. PT, as reported by the Yuma Police Department.

Off-duty law enforcement officers arrived at the scene and discovered seven individuals who had been shot. Yuma PD stated that there is no current threat to the community, but details regarding the shooter have not been disclosed.

A 16-year-old boy was urgently airlifted from YRMC to Phoenix due to life-threatening injuries. Four other teenagers, aged 15, 16, 18, and 19, are receiving treatment at YRMC for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the police.

The identities of the deceased and injured individuals have not been revealed.

The Yuma Police Department urges anyone with information about the shooting to call (928) 373-4700 or 78-Crime at (928) 782-7463. A cash reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest.

Yuma Mayor Douglas Nicholls has expressed concerns about the Biden administration’s insufficient security measures along the southern border, especially in light of the recent termination of Title 42. Nicholls mentioned that the number of people crossing from Mexico into the Border Patrol’s Yuma Sector had increased from 300 per day a month ago to 1,000 people last Sunday, just before the end of Title 42.

“Time and time again, communities like Yuma step up,” said Nicholls. “This task is going to be too great. The influx has already begun.”
