There are multiple victims.

“The New York City Fire Department responded to reports of smoke at the 36th Street and Fourth Avenue station in Brooklyn, where they reportedly found the gunshot victims at around 8:30 a.m. The Associated Press is reporting that 13 were found wounded at the scene…several undetonated devices were discovered.
“According to CBS2, ‘a train pulled into the 24th Street station’ and ‘as its doors opened, someone threw a smoke bomb onto the train and started shooting.’
“Several law enforcement sources told NBC New York that the suspect was reportedly dressed in an MTA uniform when they hurled a device into a train car and opened fire.”
