(TheRedAlertNews.com) – In a move that might be deemed too much for a leftist-dominated West Coast state, Washington state’s Governor Jay Inslee has deployed the National Guard amidst heightened election week security concerns.

Critics say what is portrayed as a protective measure for public safety constitutes an overreach of military force.

The uncertainty surrounding election integrity and public welfare calls for vigilance as Inslee’s decision stirs debate.

Governor Jay Inslee activated Washington National Guard members to bolster election security.

The National Guard will assist local law enforcement and the Washington State Patrol, crucially positioned to address incidents from November 4 through November 7.

Inslee’s precautionary measure aligns with warnings from the Department of Homeland Security about potential threats to election infrastructure across the nation.

Election-related violence has already made headlines with ballot boxes in the Pacific Northwest, including Vancouver and Portland, set ablaze with incendiary devices.

This carelessness resulted in hundreds of ballots being destroyed, yet no suspects identified.

The damage highlighted vulnerabilities in the electoral process, forcing a necessary tight grip on election-day procedures to maintain integrity.

“Our state depends on these skilled individuals for critical support to protect the public health, safety, and welfare, to include support necessary to protect vital infrastructure related to carrying out free and fair elections and to respond to any unrest related to the 2024 general election,” Inslee said, cited by The Washington State Standard.

Despite mounting fears, experts in national security dismiss the likelihood of large-scale violence akin to the January 6 events at the U.S. Capitol.

Political conditions have altered dramatically since 2020, albeit minor disruptions remain possible.

The Adjutant General will determine the number of Guard members to be deployed, ensuring ample resources for unforeseen events.

The activation is a proactive solution to the fears echoing across the country about election safety.

“Based upon general and specific information and concerns regarding the potential for violence or other unlawful activity related to the 2024 general election, I want to ensure we are fully prepared to respond to any potential additional civil unrest,” Inslee said further, cited by AOL.

With the Guard on standby, Washington state anticipates a peaceful election period.

While some argue this might imply fear, lefties view it as a prudent step toward maintaining order and upholding democracy.
