Trump Admitted Downplaying Virus Danger – The Red Alert News

Trump Admitted Downplaying Virus Danger

If you’re near a radio or television today, you know the mainstream media is going wall-to-wall with coverage of a few snippets of recordings (listen by clicking the above) that Bob Woodward made of President Trump and has now provided to his friends in the media in advance of the release of his new book about Trump titled “Rage.”

The media take on those snippets and portions of the book is (all that follows in italics), as CNBC puts it, “President Donald Trump admitted that he wanted to publicly downplay the threat of the coronavirus even as his advisors warned him about the dangers of the disease, Bob Woodward wrote in his forthcoming book about the Trump administration, multiple outlets reported Wednesday.”

“‘I wanted to always play it down,’ Trump told Woodward in mid March, CNN reported. ‘I still like playing it down, because I don’t want to create a panic.’”

“Less than three weeks before that interview reportedly took place, Trump had assured that the virus would “disappear.””

“One day, it’s like a miracle, it will disappear,” Trump said in public remarks on Feb. 28.

“But the president had already been told in late January by national security advisor Robert O’Brien that the coronavirus “will be the biggest national security threat you face in your presidency,” Woodward wrote in the book, according to a separate report from The Washington Post.”

Still, as you take in the media hysteria over these snippets of recordings, it’s worth repeating what President Trump told Woodward: “I wanted to always play it down. I still like playing it down, because I don’t want to create a panic.”

So here’s the question: What do you think? Was President Trump correct to deliberately downplay the seriousness of COVID-19?

President Trump was dead wrong and is directly responsible for 95% of our Corvid-19 deaths and the crashing of our economy. President Trump ignored that In the 1990s epidemiologists warned that a virus, which cold kill 90% of all humans, could jump from animals to humans and be spread around the world in 48 hours. For example, HIV/AIDs jumped from animals, has infected 75 million and killed at least 32 million. Ebola was the reason a pandemic section was added to the President’s National Security Council. If President Roosevelt could face the reality of Pearl Harbor and President Bush face the reality of 9/11, President Trump needed to face the reality of SARS-CoV-2 Corvid-19 and gird the Nation to deal with it effectively. President Trump failed his responsibility.

IT TELLS HOWCHINA IS NIPPING RAPIDLY AT THE HEELS OF THE UNITED STATES IN THE FORM OF IT’S MILITARY MIGHT, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT SEES HOW EASILY THE DEMOCRATS FALL OVER THEMSELVES SUCCUMBING TO ITS DELIBERATELY RELEASED VIRUSES!!!!!

  2. Kay says:

Yes President Trump did what he should had done by playing the virus down!!!! He is our leader and he is to protect the whole US. And what he did was trying to keep people calm and not causing a panic attack to the whole world and yes again he is correct about one day it the virus will go away!!!! Vote Trump 2020🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

  3. Arlene says:

Yes, he did the right thing by downplaying the Panic, There was enough already ! There was daily briefings and constant reports which made many already scared to death. Furthermore What good would it have done anyway!!!

  4. Candace says:

He did the right thing to down play it as no one knew exactly what it was.
Just think how Obama did on the Swine Flu, he gave up and said it will just go away, so tit for tat.

  5. There are Godly ways of doing things . With the Lord’s Wisdom, and what little was known about the virus, there should have been serious disclosures about how dangerous it is. No one has the right to suppress their country from knowing the truth. President, Doctors , researchers, scientists etc. Now that the truth is known, we as American citizens need to respect and honor the U.S. A., honor and respect one another and wear our masks, like it or not, distance ourselves until the virus is whipped. God Bless America, United we stand.

  6. Sharon says:

I am glad Trump did not create a panic. Playing it down was ok. I just wish he didn’t play it that far down, because it has been a little confusing, with others like Dr Fauci making it seem horrific. Trump’s calming and caring demeanor has been great.

  7. JDC says:

Absolutely not! Because he downplayed it, others did not take it seriously and still are not. This is why we have nearly 200,000 deaths and are not out of trouble! He is a selfish, childish idiot and an incompetent!

    • Kimberly says:

That’s correct. Others are not changing their behavior and never will regardless. People that want to be extra cautious are and people that have no fear or no options are not. A month or two would not have made that much difference because the virus was already here and nothing has kept people from spreading it despite all the precautions. There are people that would have been extra cautious saved but not all. Now that we know the numbers are still rising!

  8. Mark says:

Yes, it was proper of Trump to play it down. As the leader of the free world he has the responsibility of NOT creating panic and mayhem like his counterparts are doing, but to work behind the scenes with his staff to address and minimize the the threat. Trumps problem is he has to deal with the likes of people such as Polise, Schumer, Fuci, the Fake news channels and the Dem Governor’s that thrive on panic and lies to make their case and recruit followers while at the same time Trump has to plan, access, and create a path forward. It’s sad the leader of the free world has to endure such negativity. Trump will guide us through and maintain our dignity in all of us. His heart is just as heavy as anyone loosing a loved one. Why not support Trump and be part of the change.

    • Michelle Marshall says:

Total agreement as most that are responsible, because people won’t hear the warning or action to take, if everyone panics. Think of 9/11 and how everyone, everywhere was frantic w fear and uncertainty. Well this will be with us longer and more world wide. Think people !

    • Rosemary Graham-Gardner says:

On what planet do you live?

  9. Walter Moore says:

Of course he should play it down because you asswipes media will sensationalize every word that comes out of Trumps mouth.

  10. Nancy says:

Yes, mass panic is worse than the disease! Meanwhile he was doing everything to fight it, and protect America!
China sent the virus to incite panic and destruction in hopes of taking power over the world! Thank God! He provided President Trump to stand in the way!

  11. Marilyn Simeone says:

I think that President Trump did the right thing! He has played it down but there were plenty of experts that have gone to the other end of spectrum! So when all is said and done President Trump has struck a BALANCE!! He is a very wise man and the mainstream hacks don’t give him credit because his way of doing things is not typical!! Thank you Mr. President!🇺🇸❤️
