AOC Caught Red-Handed?!?

TheRedAlertNews.com) – Far-left Democrat US Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) of New York hid a significant sum in campaign spending, according to an ethics complaint to the federal election authorities.

The complaint was filed with the Federal Election Commission by a nonprofit called “The Coolidge Reagan Foundation.”

The nonprofit has submitted similar complaints to the FEC in the past. The Daily Caller obtained its submission against AOC.

According to the complaint, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez made over $9,600 in campaign credit card spending without offering any information on the purpose of the expenditures.

AOC is known as the leader of “The Squad,” an informal grouping of far-left Democrat members of the US House of Representatives.

“This Complaint arises from Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s repeated, blatant violations of federal campaign finance law to conceal how she spent thousands of dollars of campaign funds,” the complaint to the FEC states.

“On numerous occasions throughout 2022, Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez’s authorized candidate committee, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for Congress (‘AOC for Congress’), reported tens of thousands of dollars of disbursements for card payments and card payment reimbursements to Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez herself; American Express; and an entity called ‘Veyond!,’ which appears to have provided virtual reality services and apparently no longer operates under that name,” the complaint reveals.

According to the Coolidge Reagan Foundation, Ocasio-Cortez’s reports “do not fully disclose the purposes of each payment” in the cases of credit card use mentioned above.

“The sum of the specific Memo Item entries is consistently hundreds or even thousands of dollars less than the total amount paid to the recipient,” the nonprofit points out.

“Although campaigns are permitted to use charge cards (or reimburse candidates for the use of their personal charge cards) for otherwise permissible campaign-related expense, their disclosure reports must accurately identify both the recipient of those funds, as well as each of the campaign-related goods and services those charge cards were used to purchase,” the complaint explains further.

The Daily Caller report notes that the far-left New York Democrat was recently tangled in another ethics issue after a report by the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE).

OCE found that she likely violated “standards of conduct” and “federal law” with her controversial 2021 appearance at the lavish 2021 Met Gala in New York City, which included “impermissible gifts.”

AOC attended the event wearing a dress with an inscription reading, “Tax the Rich,” after she accepted free tickets to the glamor event, which typically cost at least $35,000.

“While regrettable, this matter definitively does not rise to the level of a violation of House Rules or of federal law,” an attorney for Ocasio-Cortez wrote in response to the House Ethics Committee at the time.

AOC or her office is yet to react to the fresh FEC complaint about her concealed campaign credit card spending.
