Biden Suffers Massive Loss

(TheRedAlertNews.com) – A federal judge has dealt a massive double loss to Joe Biden’s administration by banning it from demanding social media censorship and exposing its massive social media censorship efforts, including by former White House press secretary Jen Psaki.

Chief US District Judge Terry Doughty for the Western District of Louisiana granted an injunction barring the Biden administration from telling social media platforms to shut up users.

The injunction in Missouri v. Biden was issued in a lawsuit by the GOP attorneys general of Louisiana and Missouri, who argued Biden’s cabinet cracked down on Americans’ free speech and First Amendment rights by pressuring Twitter and other platforms to censor users and posts.

The so-exposed social media censorship by the Biden administration targeted “vaccine hesitancy” or the potential to “disrupt elections,” Newsmax reports, citing The Washington Post.

The Republican attorneys general argued the Biden administration had established a “sprawling federal ‘Censorship Enterprise’” with the help of social media companies.

“[The plaintiffs] have produced evidence of a massive effort by Defendants, from the White House to federal agencies, to suppress speech based on its content,” Judge Doughty’s injunction declared.

“The present case arguably involves the most massive attack against free speech in United States history. In their attempts to suppress alleged disinformation, the federal government, and particularly the defendants named here, are alleged to have blatantly ignored the First Amendment’s right to free speech,” the injunction reads.

The ruling isn’t permanent and allows contact between the government and tech companies over criminal or national security threats.

The judge also found that, in May 2021, Joe Biden’s then-press secretary Jen Psaki, an MSNBC host, pressured social media to censor conservatives on COVID-19 vaccines and other pandemic information.

“[The] evidence produced thus far depicts an almost dystopian scenario. During the COVID-19 pandemic, a period perhaps best characterized by widespread doubt and uncertainty, the United States government seems to have assumed a role similar to an Orwellian’ Ministry of Truth,’” Doughty wrote.

The Washington Post report quoted an unnamed White House official who said the US Justice Department reviewed the injunction.

“This administration has promoted responsible actions to protect public health, safety, and security when confronted by challenges like a deadly pandemic and foreign attacks on our elections,” the official argued.
