(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Republican US Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado has introduced a new bill to kill off federal gun control legislation that Joe Biden and his Democrat allies managed to pass last summer.

Last year, Biden signed the so-called Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, which he managed to secure with the help of Republican US Senator John Cornyn of Texas.
Leftist activists and politicians touted the law as the most important federal gun control legislation in almost 30 years.
Biden championed the measures in response to mass shootings in Buffalo, New York, and Uvalde, Texas.
The gun control package in question contains multiple provisions, including expanding background checks for 18-20-year-olds and allowing taxpayer funds to push states to adopt “red flag laws.”
It also expands the prohibited purchases list of the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) by utilizing domestic violence statutes to include dating relationships.
The bill proposed by GOP US House member Lauren Boebert – the Shall Not Be Infringed Act – provides for rescinding all of Biden’s 2022 gun controls.
“No amount of gun control will ever eliminate evil in our society, and unsurprisingly, the data has shown time and again that gun control does not decrease gun violence. Just look at Chicago or New York,” the Colorado Republican told Newsmax.
Besides repealing Biden’s 2022 gun control law, Boebert’s bill would also abolish provisions from the 2023 Omnibus Appropriations bill.
Those include the 14.1% budget hike of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, safe storage promotion efforts, and federal programs tracking where veterans store their guns.
“I unapologetically support the Second Amendment. No amount of gun control will ever eliminate evil in our society, and unsurprisingly, the data has shown time and again that gun control does not decrease gun violence,” Boebert declared.
“It is ironic that the same people who are calling to defund the police also want to leave everyday Americans defenseless. I will always stand against this nonsense and stand for law-abiding Americans and the Constitution,” she added in her statement.
Her bill is co-sponsored by 16 other Republicans, including Reps. Byron Donalds (R-FL), Andy Ogles (R-TN), Mary Miller (R-IL), and Paul Gosar (R-AZ).
Breitbart points out many high-profile mass shootings have occurred since Biden’s gun control legislation was adopted last year.
Those include the outlet mall shooting in Allen, Texas (May 6, 2023); the Cleveland, Texas shooting (April 28, 2023); the Louisville bank shooting (April 10, 2023); the Nashville Christian school shooting (March 27, 2023); the Half Moon Bay California shooting (January 23, 2023); the Monterrey Park, California shooting (January 21, 2023); the Chesapeake, Virginia, Walmart shooting (November 22, 2022); the Colorado Springs gay nightclub shooting (November 19, 2022); the Highland Park Independence Day parade shooting (July 4, 2022).
When the Founders wrote, "shall not be infringed," they meant it.
