(TheRedAlertNews.com) – The second IRS whistleblower exposing the US Justice Department’s shielding of Hunter Biden from more severe criminal charges and prison publicly revealed himself to a congressional committee yesterday as a “gay Democrat married to a man.”
Joe Ziegler, an IRS investigator for 13 years, exposed his identity on Wednesday while testifying with his supervisor, Gary Shapley, before three Republican-led House committees.
“In coming forward, I am risking my career, my reputation, and my casework outside of this investigation,” Ziegler declared during his 10-minute opening statement, as cited by Newsmax and AP.
“I’m no more credible than this man sitting next to me due to my sexual orientation or my political beliefs. I was raised and have always strived to do what is right,” he stated, referring to Shapley, who revealed his identity earlier.
“I have heard from some that I am a traitor to the Democratic Party and that I am causing more division in our society. I implore you, that if you were put in my position with the facts as I have stated them, that you would be doing the exact same thing,” Ziegler said.
Ziegler and Shapley, both career IRS criminal investigators, reiterated their previous revelations that President Joe Biden’s Justice Department interfered with their multiyear investigation into his son Hunter.
“In early August 2022, federal prosecutors from the Department of Justice Tax Division… [recommended] felony and misdemeanor charges for the 2017, ’18, and ’19 tax years. That did not happen here, and I am not sure why. And, as the special agent on this case, I thought the felony charges were well supported,” Ziegler explained.
Last month, Hunter Biden entered into a deal with the DOJ, pleading guilty to two tax misdemeanor charges, while a gun charge was left hanging, allowing him to avoid prison time.
Later in the testimony before the House Judiciary, Oversight, and Ways and Means Committees, the whistleblower was asked by US Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) who he thought might be behind the nickname “the big guy,” found in Hunter Biden’s leaked correspondence with his business partners.
“All I can do is speak to the evidence there … when we were preparing for that interview or referencing that email, ‘10[%] held by H[unter]. for the big guy,’ and from what I understand that to be President… his dad, President Biden,” Ziegler declared.
