(TheRedAlertNews.com) – A bombshell poll finding has just revealed that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is ahead of Democrat Kamala Harris among members of the Teamsters union across all 50 states.
Despite the International Brotherhood of Teamsters opting not to endorse any candidate in the upcoming 2024 election, their latest poll indicates a widespread preference for Trump over Harris among its members, both on a national and state level.
Harris only managed to outpace Trump in Washington, D.C., marking a significant shift from the union’s strong backing of President Joe Biden in 2020.
In key battleground states such as Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Arizona, Trump has a substantial lead, with figures showing:
- Michigan — 61.7 percent to 32.5 percent for Harris
- Wisconsin — 57 percent to 40.5 percent
- Pennsylvania — 65.3 percent to 31.4 percent
- Georgia — 56.3 percent to 40.7 percent
- Arizona — 57.3 percent to 38.7 percent
Trump also edges out Harris in typically Democratic strongholds like California, though the margin is much tighter there: 48.8 percent to 46.4 percent.
Interestingly, these polls echo previous trends where Biden was leading Trump by similar margins before he withdrew from the race.
The Teamsters have formally decided against endorsing a presidential candidate for 2024.
“Unfortunately, neither major candidate was able to make serious commitments to our union to ensure the interests of working people are always put before Big Business. We sought commitments from both Trump and Harris not to interfere in critical union campaigns or core Teamsters industries — and to honor our members’ right to strike — but were unable to secure those pledges,” Teamsters President Sean M. O’Brien explained.
This stance has caused considerable concern among Democrats.
According to Breitbart News, “Democrats are reportedly afraid that the Teamster Union’s recent refusal to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris for president may be a warning sign of a victory for former President Donald Trump, according to several pro-Harris union officials and Democrat strategists and allies.”
Politico reports further detail on the situation, adding that the Teamsters’ non-endorsement is seen as an alarming indicator by Democrats, especially since the union, representing over one million workers, shows strong member support for Trump despite the lack of an official endorsement.
