(TheRedAlertNews.com) – BREAKING NOW: Just moments ago, the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a Level 4 Alert for a “very high level of COVID-19.
The “Level 4: Very High Level of COVID-19” alert applies to all cruise ships and is a warning to all cruise ship travelers “regardless of vaccination status.”
According to nbcdfw.com:
“The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is advising people to avoid traveling on cruise ships, regardless of vaccination status, due to the high risk of COVID-19 infection onboard ships.
“The agency updated its travel health notice for cruise ships from a Level 3 to a Level 4, the highest risk level on the CDC’s threat scale. The warning comes as the number of ships under investigation by the CDC for possible COVID-19 outbreaks continues to rise while new cases of infection in the U.S. soar to their highest level on record, with over 265,000 per day on average.
“The CDC cautioned that even fully vaccinated travelers may be at risk for getting and spreading COVID-19, noting that the virus spreads easily between people in close quarters, making the chances of getting infected onboard a cruise ship very high, even if you are fully vaccinated and have received a booster.” [emphasis added]
