(TheRedAlertNews.com) – BREAKING NOW: Just moments ago, the news broke that the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, school system has renewed an indoor COVID-19 mask mandate starting today for K-12 students and staff.
COVID masks are now mandatory while passengers are on public school vehicles and in all school buildings.
According to National Review:
“The decision to resume mandatory masking was made in response to a spike in Covid-19 cases in the region and per the recommendation of the Philadelphia Department of Public Health (PDPH), superintendent William Hite said in a statement Friday.
“Hite also reminded that positive Covid-19 tests must be reported to the school system. ‘As we’ve learned since the pandemic began, the coronavirus continues to evolve and so too will our response to it,’ he said.”
It is unclear what the level of compliance with the reinstated mask mandate is as of today, given the short notice and the growing resistance by many Americans to mask mandates.
Red Alert News will monitor circumstances on the ground in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and report any updates on compliance and resistance issues as they arise.
