
(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Breaking Now: As reaction rolls in about last night’s publication of a leaked United States Supreme Court draft opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization that would overturn Roe v. Wade after Roe being the law of the land for a half-century, it is clear that the overwhelming majority of liberals and Democrats are outraged.
Numerous well-known and elected Democrats reacted with anger to the Monday night release of the draft opinion that, if it becomes the final decision by the court, would overturn Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 decision that legalized abortion on a national level.
The draft leaked to reporters at Politico was authored by Justice Samuel Alito on February 10th and shows Justices Thomas, Barrett, Kavanaugh, and Gorsuch concurring to create a 5-4 majority decision.
“We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled. The Constitution makes no reference, and no such right is implicitly protected by any constitutional provision, including the one on which the defenders of Roe and Casey now chiefly rely – the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment,” Alito states in the draft. “That provision has been held to guarantee some rights that are not mentioned in the Constitution, but any such right must be ‘deeply rooted in this Nation’s history and tradition’ and ‘implicit in the concept of ordered liberty.’”
Condemnation from Democrats of the draft opinion and the now expected overturning of Roe was swift. Here is just a small sampling of hundreds of tweets posted since the leaked opinion was published last night.

Congress must pass legislation that codifies Roe v. Wade as the law of the land in this country NOW. And if there aren’t 60 votes in the Senate to do it, and there are not, we must end the filibuster to pass it with 50 votes.
