(TheRedAlertNews.com) Happening Now: With every passing hour as details emerged about this tragedy overnight, it became clear that once again, a deranged individual armed himself and took out the lives of innocents.
This time those innocents included his three children – all under the age of 15.
And, equally as horrific, the killer was their father, and the killing spree was conducted in a house of worship.
As the New York Post notes this morning:
“Five people are dead after a man killed his children inside a California church before turning the weapon on himself on Monday, reports said.
“The gunman fatally shot the group, including three children under the age of 15, inside The Church of Sacramento at about 5 p.m., according to law enforcement officials.
“The fourth victim was reported to be chaperoning the children, but that person’s relation to the shooter was unclear early Tuesday.” [emphasis added]
Further:
“‘We have found now there’s an adult male, a father who has shot and killed his three children under the age of 15,’ said Sgt. Rod Grassmann with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.” [emphasis added]
Once again, law enforcement experts noted that this latest tragedy occurred in California, with some of the strictest gun laws in the United States of America.
Clearly, increased restrictions on Americans’ Second Amendment rights are not the answer. Perhaps it’s time to take a hard look at the mental health crisis in the U.S.
