(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Shocking the vast majority of Americans — including the significant number of pro-Ukraine conservatives and Republicans — who wholeheartedly support Ukraine’s fight to remain a free and sovereign country, U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is calling on the United States to not aide Ukraine with military supplies as it defends itself from the ongoing invasion of Russian troops. And Greene has declared that Ukraine should surrender to Russian President Vladimir Putin by seeking a peace deal.
As The Washington Times reports:
“Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is distancing herself from most of her colleagues on Capitol Hill by warning Ukraine cannot win the war with Russia, and she opposes sending more arms that will only cause more suffering and a bigger refugee crisis.
“Mrs. Greene, Georgia Republican, said it is not the responsibility of the U.S. to give President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian people ‘false hope.’
“‘If we truly care about suffering and death on our television screens we cannot fund more of it by sending money and weaponry to Ukraine to fight a war they cannot possibly win,’ she said in a social media post. ‘The only effect of more arms and more money from America will be to prolong the war and magnify human suffering.'” [emphasis added]
Further:
“She also said the nation should be focused on brokering a peace deal. Mrs. Greene said that it is too risky for the nation to get involved.
“‘We can do all this without sending a dime and without shipping bombs to further inflame a war whose outcome already seems certain,’ she said.” [emphasis added]
In response to Greene’s comments, one historian pointed out that had the patriots who rose in arms during the American Revolution against the tyranny of King George surrendered when all the world thought they would lose to the British Military, the United States of America would have never made it out of the cradle of its birth.
And a military analyst noted that Putin – a war criminal who has assassinated political opponents and rivals all over the world – has never had a better mouthpiece on American soil than Congresswoman Greene.
