(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Ever since Joe Biden and Kamala Harris took office, Americans have become increasingly worried about their personal wealth, according to a poll that was just released by Gallup today.
The poll by the respected firm indicates the percentage of Americans worried about their finances has gone up since 2021.
In a sign of how bad things may be, Gallup points out this is the first poll on the subject since 2016 to show a majority of Americans are worried about being able to maintain their current standard of living.
Some key findings include:
- 40% of Americans are “very or moderately worried” about not having enough money to pay their monthly bills.
- 52% are worried about maintaining their standard of living.
- 63% are worried about not having enough money for retirement.
- 56% are worried about being unable to pay medical costs for a serious illness or accident.
When it comes to who is the most worried about having enough money, the percentage has soared among individuals in households making less than $40,000 per year — certainly the income range to be hit hardest by the historically high rate of inflation currently impacting the United States of America.
