BREAKING: Top Dem Aide ARRESTED; ‘Foreign Agent’

BREAKING NEWS

(TheRedAlertNews.com) – In mind-blowing evidence of how deeply Communist China has infiltrated the United States, a former senior aide to Governor Kathy Hochul and the disgraced former Governor Andrew Cuomo has been arrested with her husband for operating as covert Chinese agents.

The charges allege 41-year-old Linda Sun operated as an unauthorized agent for China, receiving millions in illicit benefits and extravagant items like salted ducks, The New York Post reports.

The comprehensive 64-page indictment delineates how Sun and her husband, Christopher Hu, aged 40, allegedly laundered money and extravagantly spent their ill-gotten wealth on properties such as a lavish $4 million mansion in Manhasset and a $2 million secondary residence in a Honolulu skyscraper, in addition to high-end vehicles including a 2024 Ferrari Roma.

Sun is accused of exploiting her influential roles under both Hochul and Cuomo—though they are not named, they are unmistakably implicated in the legal documents—to transform the governor’s office into an indirect promoter of the interests of the People’s Republic of China and the Chinese Communist Party.

The indictment strikingly asserts that Sun managed to prevent Cuomo and Hochul from engaging or even acknowledging publicly Taiwan, the US ally that Communist China claims as its province.

This includes an instance during the nascent phase of the COVID-19 pandemic when Taiwan donated 200,000 urgently required masks to New York.

“The defendant Linda Sun received substantial economic and other benefits from representatives of the PRC government and the CCP, including the facilitation of millions of dollars in transactions for the PRC-based business activities of Sun’s husband, the defendant Chris Hu,” the indictment states.

Displaying no emotion, both Sun and Hu entered pleas of not guilty to extensive charges including breaching and conspiring to breach the Foreign Agents Registration Act, committing visa fraud, alien smuggling, and participating in a money laundering conspiracy.

This occurred during a half-hour preliminary hearing in a federal court in Brooklyn.

Subsequently, they were released on bonds—$1.5 million for Sun and $500,000 for Hu—but their movements are restricted to specific regions while the proceedings are ongoing.

Upon exiting the courtroom, neither Sun nor Hu provided comments to the inquiries from the press.

“Our client is understandably upset that these charges have been brought. We are looking forward to addressing the allegations in the proper venue, which is in court,” Sun’s attorney, Jarrod Schaeffer, remarked.

The striking charges also clarify the reason behind the FBI’s July raid on Sun’s and Hu’s residence on Long Island.

According to the indictment, since 2016, at the behest of the Chinese consulate, Sun worked to minimize interactions between Taiwanese officials and New York’s gubernatorial office under both Cuomo and Hochul.
