BREAKING VIDEO: Massive Crane Collapses as People Run For Their Lives

( – BREAKING NOW: Just moments ago, a massive crane in New York City caught fire and partially collapsed, raining debris onto the streets below as people ran for their lives.

According to multiple news sources, on Wednesday morning in New York City, an accident involving a crane catching fire and collapsing led to five people getting hurt, including a firefighter.

The incident happened at a construction site on 570 10th Avenue, near Hudson Yards, between West 41st and West 42nd Streets.

The crane in use at this vacant building suddenly caught fire around 7:30 a.m., as reported by the New York Police Department (NYPD).

Following the fire, the top part of the crane failed and fell, hitting a building on the other side of the street before it landed on the road beneath, as seen in the video footage below.

As the crane collapsed, people ran while cars driving by sounded their horns in warning, according to the video footage.

The fallout from the crash resulted in injuries to four civilians and one firefighter, as noted by sources.

Of the injured, at least three individuals have been hospitalized.
