(TheRedAlertNews.com) – In an entertaining new falling out in Democrat ranks, leftist strategist James Carville, known for his close ties to Bill and Hillary Clinton, has vowed revenge against Democrat US Senator John Fetterman.
Carville issued a stern warning to Fetterman on Thursday, The Daily Caller reports.
The strategist accused Fetterman of actively undermining Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro by opposing Shapiro’s potential nomination as Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate.
According to sources familiar with the matter, Fetterman’s advisors have subtly expressed concerns regarding Shapiro’s self-centered political ambitions, as reported by Politico.
Carville voiced his disapproval on his “Politics War Room” podcast, indicating he intends to confront Fetterman post-election due to his detrimental actions against Shapiro, who reportedly played a crucial role in Fetterman’s senatorial campaign.
“The other thing is, is one of the great backstabbers in modern Democratic politics is John Fetterman, but I’m going to wait ’til after the election to deal with him. But he’s somebody that must be dealt with, and must be dealt with in real terms,” Carville stated.
During the podcast, co-host Al Hunt remarked that Fetterman “sandbagged Shapiro,” a sentiment with which Carville concurred.
Carville further commented on the significance of Shapiro’s support in Fetterman’s political career.
“And, of course, the reason he’s in the United States Senate is because of Shapiro. If you look at the Pennsylvania election returns, 2022, and you’ll get the idea of how Josh dragged this guy across the finish line,” he said.
Despite Shapiro being a strong contender, Vice President Harris ultimately chose Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate over Shapiro.
In an intense reaction to Carville’s earlier criticisms about President Joe Biden’s polling leading up to the 2024 election, Fetterman bluntly told Carville to “shut the fuck up” in December.
“There’s a whole lifetime in politics between now and next November as well. I’m not worried about that,” Fetterman declared, openly critical of Democrats who doubted the president’s leadership.
He seized the opportunity to further criticize Carville: “My man hasn’t been relevant since grunge was a thing,” he added.
“And I don’t know why he believes it’s helpful to say these kinds of things about an incredibly difficult circumstance with an incredibly strong and decent and excellent president. I’ll never understand that,” the senator concluded.
