(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Demonstrating most tragically that horrific mass shootings are not just an American problem, a gunman stormed into a condo board meeting in Toronto, Canada, and killed five individuals before eventually being killed by police.
According to the New York Post in a report headlined “Five people killed at condo board meeting in Toronto“:
“Five people were killed when a gunman stormed into a condo board meeting in Toronto, Canada, on Sunday and opened fire, cops said.
“The gunman was shot and killed by police at a condo in Vaughan, Ontario, after going on his murderous rampage, according to Chief James MacSween of the York regional police.
“‘Horrendous scene,’ MacSween said. ‘Six deceased. One of them is the subject. The other five are victims.'” [emphasis added]
As of publication time, no motive for the mass shooting has been announced.
The identity of the killer has also not been announced.
The Post notes that Canada has taken a different direction than the United States when it comes to “assault” weapons, and yet this mass murder still took place.
“In 2020, shortly after a gunman shot and killed 13 people in Portapique, Nova Scotia, Canada banned more than 1,500 models of “assault-style” firearms and components, and set limits on how destructive bullets could be.” [emphasis added]
