DOJ Takes ACTION – Second Amendment Task Force!

2nd Amendment written on an aged, illuminated document.

In a massive effort to restore gun rights stripped away by the Biden administration, Attorney General Pamela Bondi has formed a powerful Second Amendment Task Force.

The Department of Justice initiative aims to dismantle burdensome regulations that target law-abiding gun owners.

The newly established task force clearly signals that the Second Amendment will no longer be treated as an insignificant issue.

“For too long, the Second Amendment, which establishes the fundamental individual right of Americans to keep and bear arms, has been treated as a second-class right. No more,” Bondi declared.

Leading the charge, Bondi has assembled key officials from various DOJ departments, including the FBI and ATF, to develop robust legal strategies protecting Americans’ right to keep and bear arms.

As its first major action, the task force has already repealed one of Joe Biden’s controversial policies, which unfairly penalized firearms dealers for minor paperwork violations.

“The prior administration’s ‘Zero Tolerance’ policy unfairly targeted law-abiding gun owners and created an undue burden on Americans seeking to exercise their constitutional right to bear arms—it ends today,” Bondi explained.

FBI Director Kash Patel stated the agency is committed to balanced regulation that respects constitutional rights while allowing legal gun ownership to flourish.

The task force will systematically review and revise other Biden-era gun control measures.

These include the highly criticized “stabilizing brace rule” that reclassified millions of pistols with arm braces as heavily regulated short-barreled rifles.

This arbitrary reclassification forced law-abiding citizens to register their firearms with the ATF, destroy them, or face potential felony charges.

Another target for revision is the Biden administration’s expanded definition of who is “engaged in the business” of selling firearms.

This rule threatened to criminalize private citizens who occasionally sold guns from personal collections, forcing them to obtain federal firearms licenses or face prosecution.

The initiative marks a dramatic shift from the previous administration’s hostility toward gun rights.

Under Biden, the DOJ and ATF pursued aggressive enforcement against gun dealers while implementing regulations designed to restrict access to firearms and accessories.

Courts had already blocked or limited several of these measures, recognizing their overreach.

Gun rights organizations have applauded the formation of the task force. The National Rifle Association praised the move as a vital step in protecting Americans’ constitutional freedoms.

Meanwhile, Gun Owners of America expressed optimism about rolling back regulatory overreach.

The task force will not operate in isolation. Bondi has emphasized collaboration with gun rights advocates, manufacturers, and legal experts to ensure policies align with both constitutional principles and practical considerations for responsible gun owners.

Anti-gun groups have criticized the initiative, claiming it will endanger public safety.

However, the task force’s focus remains on protecting law-abiding citizens’ rights while maintaining appropriate measures to keep firearms away from criminals.
