Don Lemon ‘Terminated’

(TheRedAlertNews.com) – To the joy of conservatives everywhere, CNN host Don Lemon was fired after 17 years with the leftist network amid misbehavior and misogyny, including over comments he made about GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley earlier this year.

“I was informed this morning by my agent that I have been terminated by CNN. I am stunned,” Lemon wrote on Twitter.

“After 17 years at CNN, I would have thought that someone in management would have had the decency to tell me directly,” he added.

Most recently, Lemon was the co-host of the CNN program “This Morning.”

“At no time was I ever given any indication that I would not be able to continue to do the work I have loved at the network? It is clear that there are some larger issues at play,” the terminated leftist TV anchor stated.

“I want to thank my colleagues and the many teams I have worked with for an incredible run. They are the most talented journalists in the business, and I wish them all the best,” he concluded.

In a Twitter post, the CNN Communications team praised Don Lemon’s contribution to the network.

“CNN and Don have parted ways. Don will forever be a part of the CNN family, and we thank him for his contributions over the past 17 years. We wish him well and will be cheering him on in his future endeavors,” the network said.

A subsequent tweet by the CNN Communications team disputed the fired TV host’s statement as “inaccurate.”

It said Lemon was “offered an opportunity to meet with management but instead released a statement on Twitter.”

Lemon’s name has been tangled in several scandalous reports and respective probes. Still, most recently, he was in hot water for saying on the air that Republican presidential nomination candidate Nikki Haley, 51, was not “in her prime.”

“When a woman is considered to be in her prime – in her 20s, 30s, and maybe her 40s. I’m just saying what the facts are – Google it,” Lemon reacted to objections from his female co-hosts, Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins, on the air in February.

The comment came as former US Ambassador to the UN and former South Carolina candidate Haley announced her bid for the 2024 GOP nomination.

Lemon later released a statement saying he regretted his “inartful and irrelevant” comments, offered his apologies, and said he would enroll in “mandatory training” to address the incident.

Reacting to Don Lemon’s firing on Monday, Nikki Haley declared it a “great day for women everywhere,” using the hashtag “#StillInMyPrime.”

Earlier this month, a report by Variety claimed that Lemon was involved in misogynistic scandals since his early years at CNN, in 2006-2008.

Lemon, 57, came to CNN from a local NBC station in Chicago. For eight years before last November, he hosted “Don Lemon Tonight,” a primetime show with increasingly poor ratings.
