(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Former White House Chief Medical Adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci, who millions of Americans blame for covering up the origins of the coronavirus pandemic, has a new job. Fauci has been appointed a professor at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
“Starting July 1, Fauci will serve as a Distinguished University Professor in the School of Medicine’s Department of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases, an academic division that… trains future physicians in infectious diseases,” Georgetown announced, as cited by The Hill.
82-year-old Fauci retired from government work on December 31, 2022, after serving as the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), a body of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for nearly 40 years.
Fauci has set the record as the highest-paid federal employee of all time, reaching an annual salary of over $430,000.
“We are deeply honored to welcome Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, a dedicated public servant, humanitarian and visionary global health leader, to Georgetown,” Georgetown President John DeGioia said.
Georgetown also said Fauci would hold an additional appointment in the university’s McCourt School of Public Policy.
“I am delighted to join the Georgetown family… This is a natural extension of my scientific, clinical and public health career, which was initially grounded from my high school and college days where I was exposed to intellectual rigor, integrity and service-mindedness of Jesuit institutions,” Fauci said, as cited by Newsmax.
The former NIAID chief is set to start his teaching career at Georgetown on July 1 with the rank of University Professor, the school’s “highest professional honor that recognizes extraordinary achievement in scholarship, teaching and service.”
“I ask myself, now at this stage in my life, what do I have to offer to society? And I think, sure, I could do more experiments in the lab and have my lab going. But given what I’ve been through, I think what I have to offer is experience and inspiration to the younger generation of students,” Fauci said further.
Millions of Americans have slammed Fauci for his defense of mask and vaccine mandates and his refusal to say that COVID-19 was leaked from a Chinese lab and that NIH funded gain-of-function research in China.
