(TheRedAlertNews.com) – In what sounds like the pinnacle of arrogance, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the retired former White House chief medical adviser, has demanded the return of face masks after he caught COVID-19 again, even though he has been vaccinated six times.

Fauci is once again urging the public to wear face masks in response to a rise in Covid-19 cases.
While the overall number of infections is increasing due to another summer surge, the rates of hospitalizations and deaths remain at historically low levels.
On Monday, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease emphasized, “The message is that if you are in a risk category you have got to take this seriously.”
Fauci, aged 83, specifically advised individuals with comorbidities and seniors to wear masks in crowded settings, The Daily Mail reports.
He also shared that he had contracted Covid-19 approximately two weeks ago, marking his third infection despite having received six doses of vaccine through initial vaccinations and boosters.
Current data from the CDC indicates a test positivity rate of nearly 18% for the week ending August 3, up from 16% the previous week and significantly higher than the 10% reported one month earlier.
Test positivity refers to the proportion of all Covid-19 tests conducted that return positive.
Officials from the World Health Organization have issued warnings that continued viral transmission may lead to the emergence of new mutations and strains capable of evading the protection offered by vaccines and existing treatments.
Although deaths have been gradually increasing since May, there has been a decline in fatalities starting the week ending July 20, with current weekly deaths stabilizing at around 500, a stark contrast to over 25,000 weekly deaths reported in the fall of 2020.
Vulnerable populations such as the elderly, immunocompromised individuals, and those with comorbid conditions face greater risks of severe Covid-19 outcomes, including hospitalization and death.
“You don’t have to immobilize what you do and cut yourself off from society, but regardless of what the current recommendations are, when you’re in a crowded closed space and you’re an 85-year-old person with chronic lung disease or a 55-year-old person who is morbidly obese with diabetes and hypertension, then you should be wearing a mask,” Fauci told Dr. Jeremy Faust, Editor-in-Chief of MedPage Today.
Criticism has often been directed at Dr. Fauci’s mask guidelines, with detractors arguing they are ineffective in halting the spread of Covid.
The impact of mask-wearing on children’s education and social development has also been a point of contention, with a study from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) describing the effects on literacy and learning as “very negative.”
