Happening Now: Trump Slams Pence

(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Happening Now: Just moments ago, speaking at the Faith and Freedom Coalition in Nashville on Friday and responding to testimony yesterday about his interactions with then-Vice President Mike Pence leading up to and on January 6, 2021, former President Donald Trump denied calling Pence a “wimp,” but in the same statement called Pence a “human conveyor belt.”

Still angry that Pence wouldn’t side with him in attempting to stop the certification of the electoral votes on that day, Trump denied calling Pence a “wimp,” as witnesses testified but repeated his allegation that Pence lacked the courage to object to Joe Biden’s victory.

In so doing, Trump said, “Mike Pence had absolutely no choice but to be a human conveyor belt,” meaning that Pence did nothing to stop the counting of the votes.

Continuing, Trump said, “Mike had the chance to be great. He had the chance to be historic…but frankly, he didn’t have the courage. Mike was afraid of whatever he was afraid of.”

Turning his focus to the committee, Trump said, “This is a one-sided witch hunt. We have nobody who can even speak.” Going further, he called for an investigation of the committee, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), and Congresswoman Liz Cheney (R-WY) if the GOP retakes the House of Representatives in November, as all polls seemingly indicate they will.
