(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Twice failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has denounced Florida as “unsafe” for black and queer individuals due to the “ultra-MAGA” policies of its Republican governor Ron DeSantis.
(After reading the rest of this post, please share your opinion about Hillary’s remarks by emailing [email protected]. Thank you.)
“Ron DeSantis’s ultra-MAGA Florida isn’t safe for people of color, LGBTQ+ people, or even multi-billion dollar corporations,” Clinton wrote on Twitter.
She was referring to Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Act, which bans gender and sexuality teaching in K3 education, the state’s rejection of an advanced placement high school course in African-American Studies, and DeSantis’s battle with Disney’s pro-left political influence.
Clinton’s post features screenshots from online articles by The New York Times and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), a Breitbart News report notes.
Earlier this week, the NAACP issued a travel advisory warning black and LGBT people not to go to Florida, accusing the state’s GOP governor of “aggressive attempts to erase Black history and to restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion programs in Florida schools.”
“Florida is openly hostile toward African Americans, people of color and LGBTQ+ individuals. Before traveling to Florida, please understand that the state of Florida devalues and marginalizes the contributions of, and the challenges faced by African Americans and other communities of color,” the advisory states.
The new bills recently signed by DeSantis include a law banning “gender transitions,” i.e., “the mutilation” via “surgical procedures and experimental puberty blockers,” and a law eliminating “diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI)” initiatives in higher education.
Meanwhile, Christian Ziegler, the chairman of the Florida Republican Party, tweeted that NAACP chief Leon Russell lived in Florida.
“The CHAIRMAN of the @NAACP lives in Tampa, FLORIDA! True leadership is being willing to do what you ask others to do… time to step up and MOVE. If you think our state is so bad, the @FloridaGOP will help with moving costs,” Ziegler wrote.
Russell reacted on MSNBC by stating that Ziegler was “full of bull****” and the travel advisor was about “humanity.”
“We haven’t told anybody to leave. In fact, the NAACP is encouraging folks to stay here and fight… and understand that that fight is a political fight,” he claimed.
I suspect she was on the same conference call as the NAACP people who issued the “travel advisory,” or at least got CCed on the same email. Not that we’d ever know because she’s probably deleted it and destroyed the computer. https://t.co/UDM9uIN2Wp
