(TheRedAlertNews.com) – In a shocking new outrage coming from the Democrat camp ahead of the 2024 election, Hillary Clinton has called for persecuting Americans by slapping them with criminal charges for executing their right to free speech.
The former Secretary of State and First Lady voiced strong concerns about what she seemingly believes is Russian propaganda’s influence on American discourse.
In a Monday interview with MSNBC’s extreme-left Rachel Maddow, Clinton proposed severe repercussions, including criminal charges, for Americans who disseminate messages aligning with Russian propaganda.
She emphasized the need for a robust deterrent against such activities.
“I also think there are Americans who are engaged in this kind of propaganda, and whether they should be civilly or even in some cases, criminally charged, is something that would be a better deterrence,” she declared.
During the discussion, Maddow referenced recent measures taken by the Biden-Harris administration’s Justice and State Departments.
These actions targeted Russians alleged to have propagated pro-Russian sentiments through a Canadian-owned media company operating out of Tennessee.
This company collaborated with podcasters who were popular among conservative and independent audiences.
Furthermore, the administration has implicated Russian entities in attempts to sway the 2024 presidential election through websites mimicking credible news sources.
According to an indictment by the Justice Department, the involved podcasters were unwitting participants, unaware that the Tennessee-based company they collaborated with was also receiving Russian funds.
Nonetheless, some on the left have labeled these podcasters as Russian agents, accusing them of undermining support for Ukraine.
Clinton argued that the repercussions should extend to anyone who echoes Russian propaganda, regardless of their awareness of its origins.
Her focus was particularly sharp on Republican members of Congress, whom she accused of echoing Russian positions on the congressional floor.
Her remarks took a grave tone as she underscored the necessity of transparency and resistance against foreign interference in American elections.
She asserted, “I think we need to uncover all of the connections and make it very clear that you could vote however you want, but we are not going to let adversaries, whether it is Russia, China, Iran, or anybody else, basically try to influence Americans as to how we should vote in picking our leaders.”
