(TheRedAlertNews.com) – In a development showing Hollywood elites are not immune to the crime stimulated by leftist policies they generally support, the residence of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson in Los Angeles has fallen prey to burglars.
The perpetrators forcibly entered the property during daylight hours. Law enforcement sources conveyed to TMZ that the intrusion occurred a few weeks prior, involving the culprits breaking glass to access a guest house on the premises.
The incident unfolded while the celebrity couple was away, and although an alarm was activated by the shattered glass, it failed to prevent the thieves from making their entry. Fortunately, the intruders did not manage to enter the primary residence, as noted in the report cited by Breitbart News.
Other celebrities recently victimized by burglars in Los Angeles include rapper Blxst, Bhad Bhabie, Marlon Wayans, Sarah Hyland and Jada Pinkett Smith, according to The Daily Caller.
The new incident emerges almost two months following a series of home burglaries that compelled actress Goldie Hawn to publicly declare her constant accompaniment by a security guard at her residence in Los Angeles, indicating a possible permanent departure from the increasingly crime-ridden city.
These sequential burglary attempts were disclosed during an episode of Kelly Ripa’s podcast, “Let’s Talk Off Camera,”
Hawn expressed her astonishment and disbelief at the recurrent targeting of the home she occupies with Kurt Russell.
“I couldn’t believe it, ‘What is happening here?’” she recounted.
She has now implemented round-the-clock security to safeguard her family against the escalating crime rates in the city.
“I’m never without a guard … especially when I’m alone,” she stated during the podcast.
According to the LA Times, the state of California has seen a significant exodus, losing more than 500,000 residents between 2020 and 2022.
This ranks as the fourth-largest population decline in the United States during that period, trailing only behind New York, Illinois, and Louisiana.
Numerous celebrities, including Jim Carrey, Mark Wahlberg, Sylvester Stallone, Rob Schneider, Joe Rogan, and Matt Damon, have relocated from California in recent years.
Many have resettled in states such as Nevada and Texas, driven by the desire to live anywhere but within the confines of Los Angeles.
