(TheRedAlertNews.com) – In response to dictator Nicolás Maduro’s broken promises of electoral reforms and migrant returns, President Donald Trump has canceled Chevron’s license to operate in Venezuela.

The decision cuts off a major financial lifeline to Maduro’s corrupt regime and reverses yet another failed Biden policy that empowered America’s adversaries.

President Trump announced on Truth Social that he was “reversing the concessions that Crooked Joe Biden gave to Nicolás Maduro, of Venezuela, on the oil transaction agreement, dated November 26, 2022.”

The Biden administration had granted Chevron permission to resume operations in Venezuela despite the country’s fraudulent elections and human rights abuses.

The decision will halt nearly 240,000 barrels of Venezuelan crude exported daily through Chevron.

The move will cut off billions in revenue that Maduro’s regime has used to maintain power rather than improve conditions for citizens.

The license cancellation takes effect March 1, giving Chevron just days to wind down operations that have existed since the 1920s.

President Trump’s move signals strong support for Venezuelan freedom and opposition leader Maria Corina Machado, who praised the decision.

“This is a huge step, and it sends a clear, clear, firm message that Maduro is in huge trouble,” said Machado, who has fought against Maduro’s oppressive socialist regime.

The Biden administration’s original deal with Venezuela represented another foreign policy failure.

It allowed the dictator to benefit financially while making empty promises about political reforms.

Under the agreement, Maduro’s regime received an estimated $4 billion, while Chevron was allowed to recover roughly $3 billion in debt owed by Venezuela.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio backed President Trump’s decision, emphasizing the importance of ending Biden-era policies that propped up the Maduro regime.

Energy Secretary Chris Wright assured Americans that the license revocation would not affect U.S. energy supplies.

He noted that America remains the world’s largest oil producer and can handle this adjustment without market disruption.

Predictably, Maduro’s regime has responded with outrage. Fraudulent Vice President Delcy Rodriguez claimed “the US government has made a damaging and inexplicable decision by announcing sanctions against the US company Chevron.”

The statement ignores Maduro’s refusal to honor commitments regarding electoral transparency and migrant returns.

The Trump administration’s decision aligns with its America First policy approach, refusing to enrich hostile foreign governments while demanding accountability for promises made.

The U.S. does not recognize Maduro as Venezuela’s legitimate president.

Instead, it acknowledges Edmundo González as the rightful winner of the July 2024 election that Maduro’s corrupt regime stole.

This move represents another example of President Trump’s commitment to reversing Biden’s weak foreign policy positions while standing firmly against socialist dictatorships in the hemisphere.

By holding Maduro accountable, President Trump is strengthening America’s position while supporting the Venezuelan people’s fight for authentic freedom.
