In a series of statements that have surprised many across the nation because of her previous devotion to President Donald Trump, Kellyanne Conway has gone public with her belief that “Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will prevail” and will be sworn in as President and Vice President of the United States on January 20th. Further, she believes it’s time for the nation to “move forward.”
“Former White House advisor Kellyanne Conway admitted that Democratic President-elect Joe Biden is the winner of the 2020 election, going against President Donald Trump, who has yet to concede,” according to Business Insider and numerous other publications.
“‘The president wants to exhaust all of his legal avenues, as he has made clear many times. His team is doing that, and that is his right,’ Conway said in an interview with The 19th that aired Friday. ‘If you look at the vote totals in the Electoral College tally, it looks like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will prevail. I assume the electors will certify that and it will be official. We, as a nation, will move forward, because we always do.'”
Yet, in direct contradiction to Conway, last night Trump told rallygoers in Georgia that he will be declared the winner of the election, stating “We never lost an election. We’re winning this election. They cheated and rigged our presidential election, but we will still win it.”
