Liberal Media Turns On Biden

President Joe Biden

(TheRedAlertNews.com) Hans Nichols, an Axios reporter, stated on CNN’s “Inside Politics” that President Joe Biden’s accomplishments regarding the economy are “largely irrelevant” as the inflation rates have reached a forty-year high, and the gas prices throughout the nation have greatly increased.

Nichols was not the only one on the panel. Laura Barrón-López, Politico White House correspondent, and Kaitlin Collins, CNN White House correspondent, joined host Abby Philips. The four discussed Biden’s economic policies. This event followed President Biden’s speech, during which he spoke about his accomplishments in the economy as 431,000 jobs were created in March.

During the speech, Biden noted, “Record job creation. Record unemployment declines. Record wage gains.” Philips, however, countered that “there are still signs that the American public doesn’t think things are trending in the right direction.”

Nichols agreed with the president but also said that these accomplishments were “also largely irrelevant.”

“There is one number they can’t really change right now and that is what the placard says at the local gas station and that number is high and that’s a daily jobs report that voters, that Americans, consumers see every day — and there is nothing the White House can do about it other than bring down the price of gasoline.”

He further added, “And maybe blame Putin.” That statement echoes the general line that the White House has been saying regarding gasoline prices.

“Look, when I pass gas stations that say ‘Blame Putin’ more than they say ‘Let’s go, Brandon,’ I’ll know the White House has been successful in messaging it, but that hasn’t happened yet,” Nichols noted.

Philips added to this discussion by saying that the Quinnipiac poll found that only 24% of Americans believed that the war in Ukraine was the reason for the spice hikes. 41% blamed it on Biden’s policies, while 24% noted that oil companies were the reason for this problem.
