(TheRedAlertNews.com) If there’s one certainty in America, it’s that Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyoming) and former President Donald J. Trump don’t much care for one another personally or politically.
So, when Cheney posted the following tweet to her Twitter account on Sunday morning, it’s a safe bet that not only will it irk Trump, it’ll probably make Trump all the more determined to see Cheney defeated in the Wyoming Republican primary where Trump is backing a challenger to Cheney.
Here’s the tweet Cheney just posted:
I like Republican presidents who win re-election. pic.twitter.com/ifGDEuA9Jx
— Liz Cheney (@Liz_Cheney) September 26, 2021
Of course, the political backdrop to this is that Cheney not only voted to impeach Trump, but she also accepted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s invitation to sit on the House Select Committee that is investigating the riot that took place at the United States Capitol on January 6th of this year. And, just recently, Cheney was elevated to a leadership position on the committee.
The committee, just last week, issued subpoenas to close associates of Trump, demanding they turn over documents and testify before the committee.
So, when Cheney posted Bush’s picture this morning, it indeed was an example of a picture speaking a thousand words. Words that Trump and his supporters are sure to find unacceptable and that will heighten their desire to see Cheney thrown out of office by Wyoming voters next year.
Please email [email protected] and share your thoughts and opinions about Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyoming) taking a shot at former President Donald J. Trump by posting a picture of former President George W. Bush to her Twitter account with the caption “I like Republican presidents who win re-election.” Do you think it was a low-blow by Cheney? Or was it just political humor? Who do you prefer politically? Cheney and Bush, or Trump?
