(TheRedAlertNews.com) – This week, former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced that she had tested positive for COVID-19.
Making the announcement on Twitter, Clinton mentioned that she had “minor cold symptoms but [is] feeling fine,” she also tweeted that she is “more grateful than ever for the protection vaccines can provide against serious illness,” before adding a call to those who hadn’t to get boosted and vaccinated.
Clinton, who is fully vaccinated, revealed in a second tweet that former President Bill Clinton had tested negative but was quarantining until their “household is fully in the clear.”
A spokesperson for Bill Clinton also confirmed that the former President was feeling fine and would be testing in the coming days.
Clinton’s revelation came after a Tuesday evening statement from White House press secretary Jen Psaki where she revealed she had tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time in less than five months. In her announcement, Psaki said she would have to skip her press briefings at the White House.
She also said her positive test means she cannot join President Joe Biden on his trip to Europe.
This month has also seen former President Barack Obama and Vice President Kamala Harris’s husband, Doug Emhoff, testing positive for COVID-19.
