MANHUNT: $100,000 Reward

HAPPENING NOW

(TheRedAlertNews.com) – In a hectic manhunt for mass shooting perpetrators who killed four and injured 17 people, authorities in Alabama have announced a reward of up to $100,000 for information that leads to the arrest of those involved.

The incident unfolded just after 11 pm on Saturday, in Birmingham nightclub, where it is reported that several individuals arrived, exited a vehicle, opened fire, and then escaped.

Police indicated that the attack was targeted, primarily aimed at one of the individuals who died, The Guardian reports.

They suggested over the weekend that this was not a random act of violence, but rather calculated, with the remaining victims likely unintended casualties caught in the crossfire.

CNN identified the victims as Anitra Holloman, 21; Tahj Booker, 27; Carlos McCain, 27; and Roderick Lynn Patterson Jr, 26.

In a CNN interview on Monday, Sheila Everson, Tahj Booker’s aunt, shared her grief.

“He was not the type of kid who would go out to nightclubs. Tahj was adorable. He was just like a teddy bear, the sweetest person ever. He wouldn’t harm anybody. He was a no-drama type of guy. He was always helping people,” Everson said.

She explained that her nephew was at an alumni celebration with his cousin when the violence broke out.

During a Monday press conference, it was revealed that 12 of the 17 people injured have been discharged from the hospital.

In response to the tragedy, local officials in Birmingham are offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Reacting to the event, Republican US Senator Katie Britt from Alabama expressed her condolences.

“This kind of senseless violence has no place in America. Law enforcement agencies are working diligently to find the culprits and ensure justice is served,” she remarked.

She emphasized her ongoing commitment to supporting local and state efforts to enhance safety in Alabama, highlighting the urgent need to confront the underlying factors contributing to the escalating violence.

“Making the change we all want to see starts in hearts and homes,” Britt added.

The broader national context remains troubling, with at least 24 mass murders reported across the US in 2024 alone, according to the Gun Violence Archive.

Birmingham has been the site of two such incidents.
