MASS SHOOTING: 3 Dead; 6 Wounded (video)

(TheRedAlertNews.com) – UPDATED DETAILS: Security camera footage has captured the panic and chaos following a mass shooting at the Rainier Hookah Lounge in Seattle’s Mount Baker neighborhood.

You can watch a video report of the mass shooting further down this post.

The footage, taken from the back entrance of the hookah lounge, shows people running and driving away in the early hours of Sunday morning. At 4:21 a.m., the camera captures a crowd gathered in the parking lot. Shortly after that, three men drag someone out of the lounge while others flee.

TJ, a nearby witness at the time, told KING 5, “It was a minute delay of no one saying nothing. Then after a minute, you hear people screaming and it was pure panic. I thought it was going to be a massacre because it was jam-packed.” He recounted how he approached the scene and saw a girl and two other women, all of whom were bloody, accompanied by a man.

The three victims of the shooting have been identified as 22-year-old Jonathan Bishu, 32-year-old Trevis Bellard, and 30-year-old Nadia Kassa. According to Harborview Medical Center, six other individuals were injured in the shooting, with one in critical condition and five in satisfactory condition. The victims range in age from 21 to 38 years old.

In the aftermath of the shooting, five guns were recovered. Seattle Police Chief Adrian Diaz noted, “That’s why we’re seeing more victims. More bullets are being fired. This year we’ve recovered over 4,000 shell casings.” In 2022, Seattle recorded 52 homicides, whereas there have already been 35 this year.

Pastor Gary Hay, who has been in the Mount Baker area for over three decades, remarked, “It used to be a different community, and now Mount Baker is a vastly different community.” Hay holds community barbecues in an effort to counter crime and violence, aiming “to help people change their lives; to get them to take a look at their lives and to offer them hope.”

For many in the community, the mass shooting is not surprising but is deeply distressing, particularly for those who were present. TJ stated, “That right there was sad. It was sad. There’s really no way else to say it. It was just sad.”

The Seattle Police Department is currently searching for the shooter and stated there was no new information to share.
