In an insane Democrat attack on President Donald Trump, U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters has once again ignited a firestorm by suggesting that former First Lady Melania Trump should be deported.

This eyebrow-raising remark comes as Waters continues to criticize President Trump’s immigration policies, highlighting what she considers to be hypocrisy.
Waters made these comments while opposing budget cuts to federal programs, criticizing Donald Trump and Elon Musk, head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Specifically, she suggested that Trump should examine Melania Trump’s immigration records before targeting others for deportation. Melania Trump, originally from Slovenia, became a U.S. citizen in 2006 and later sponsored her parents for citizenship, sparking constant scrutiny thanks to her controversial “Einstein Visa” status.
Melania Trump is the first U.S. First Lady to be a naturalized citizen, yet Waters seemingly questions her documentation.
Waters’ remarks also referenced Trump’s contentious executive order to potentially end birthright citizenship, challenging its constitutional basis.
This statement is not just a criticism but also a direct suggestion that Melania’s legal status be re-examined.
“We don’t know whether or not her parents were documented. And maybe we better just take a look,” Waters declared, cited by Newsweek.
Elon Musk, a key policy adviser to Trump, swiftly responded, issuing a stern warning to Waters and suggesting her own alleged misconduct may catch up with her.
The irony and thinly veiled threat did not go unnoticed as Musk delved into the political rift with obvious disdain for Waters’ tactics.
It remains to be seen whether this exchange will alter public perception more than solidify political divides.
Melania’s parents, Viktor and Amalija Knavs, received U.S. citizenship in 2018, though Amalija passed away in 2024.
Trump’s immigration policies have indeed been strict, but the likelihood of the administration revoking Melania’s citizenship is deeply improbable.
Yet Waters’ questioning of Melania’s status can be seen as a continuation of the scrutiny that the former First Lady has faced since entering the White House.
“If he wants to start looking so closely to find those who were born here and their parents were undocumented, maybe he ought to first look at Melania,” Waters said.
Waters’ comments, made at a Los Angeles rally protesting cuts to the Department of Education, continue to stir the pot at a deeply divided moment in American politics.
As the discourse becomes more charged, it’s clear Waters’ controversial statement will serve as another chapter in the ongoing immigration debate.
