Mexican President Attacks Texas Governor Abbott

(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Not only does Texas Governor Greg Abbott find himself fighting President Joe Biden and almost all of the Democrat Party when it comes to illegal immigration, he now finds himself under attack by Mexican President Andres Manuel López Obrador.

On Monday, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador slammed Texas Gov. Greg Abbott because he was angry at Abbott for instituting increased inspections at the southwest border of commercial trucks.

“Legally, they can do it, but it’s a very despicable way to act,” López Obrador said during his daily press conference, according to The Dallas Morning News. “I would say it’s chicanadas [half-baked] antics from the state government.”

Abbott stated last week that he would stop additional inspections of commercial vehicles after signing security agreements with four Mexican governors. Lopez Obrador, however, said Monday that Abbott and the governors of four Mexican states did not have the authority for these agreements.

“With all due respect, states have no legal authority to do agreements with a foreign country,” López Obrador said. “Instead of thinking, and I say this respectfully, how will I fix the problem of inflation? He is politicizing and even violating international rights.”

Abbott’s press secretary fired back at López Obrador, saying, “What’s despicable is the ongoing crisis on our southern border, with millions of illegal immigrants from over 150 countries overrunning our border communities and overwhelming our law enforcement, that neither President Biden nor President López Obrador have stepped up to stop.”

Given the heated word between the Mexican Governor and Governor Abbott, this doesn’t appear to be a conflict that will cool down soon.
