(TheRedAlertNews.com) Angering former President Donald Trump and many supporters of Trump who now make up the base of the Republican Party, United States Senator Mitt Romney, a Utah Republican, has come to the defense of United States Representatives Liz Cheney (R-WY) and Adam Kinzinger (R-IL). The Republican National Committee just censured Cheney and Kinzinger for joining the U.S. House of Representatives Select Committee investigating the attack at the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021.
Cheney and Kinzinger are the only Republicans on the committee created by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
As you’ll see in the tweet from Romney that we captured and reproduced further down this post, Romney believes Cheney and Kinzinger deserve “honor” for their actions and courage as they seek the “truth” about what took place on January 6. He thinks the individuals worthy of “shame” are the Republican National Committee members who voted to censure Cheney and Kinzinger
According to Romney, tweeting in response to the censure vote by the members of the Republican National Committee late last week:
“Shame falls on a party that would censure persons of conscience, who seek truth in the face of vitriol. Honor attaches to Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger for seeking truth even when doing so comes at great personal cost.”
