New Breed of Illegals Harming Americans

(TheRedAlertNews.com) – A lesser-known group of illegal aliens violating the border of the United States is committing financial crimes harming Americans.

A relatively small but growing number of Romanian criminals is coming to the United States illegally, including through the US-Mexican Border, according to internal US law enforcement alerts seen by The Daily Caller.

The report cites US Customs and Border Patrol figures showing 266 Romanians were apprehended while entering the US illegally through the Southern Border in the 2020 fiscal year, 4,029 did so in the 2021 fiscal year, and 5,895 in the 2022 fiscal year.

“Romanians are involved in a lot of fraud. To avoid detection, they tend to give temporary addresses and/or just quit reporting,” a source from Immigration and Customs Enforcement based on the West Coast told the new outlet.

Another unnamed source, a senior Border Patrol official based on the Southern Border, said many Romanian illegal immigrants have criminal histories.

“They all have criminal records when they show up. Rarely single adults. They usually show up in family units, and it’s a pain in the a** to get approval for family separation, so that we can house, prosecute the offender,” the official said.

“They all claim asylum/credible fear, just like everyone else. Hoping that we’ll process them and release them to the NGOs,” the BP source added.

In one recent case, a Florida sheriff in February sent out an alert on two Romanians who came through the Southern Border and “completed a sleight of hand” by only paying for $3,600 of the $9,600 for eight gold coins.

In April, the Florida police stopped a car with two Romanian illegal aliens who had “fraudulent passports, fraudulent credit cards, $4,000 in US currency, covert cameras concealed to hide (for possible ATM PIN harvesting), (3) skimming devices, a thumb drive, and an ATM pin pad cling device.”

One of their devices had the bank information of “thousands of victims.” INTERPOL also wanted the two Romanians for theft in Sweden.

In February, three Romanians with “open cases with ICE for deportation” were nabbed in New York for installing “skimming devices” in Pennsylvania Walmart self-checkouts.
