NEWS ALERT: 27 Shot, 6 Dead

(TheRedAlertNews.com) – BREAKING NOW: So far, over the weekend in Chicago, a wave of violence has resulted in at least 27 people being shot, six of whom were killed, according to police reports.

A partial list of the violent acts that have occurred includes the following.

On Sunday, a 29-year-old man was shot in the head inside a flipped car in the Little Village neighborhood and was later declared dead at Mount Sinai Hospital. No suspects have been identified or arrested yet.

On Saturday, in the North Lawndale area, five men were victims of a shooting. One man died, while another was critically injured with gunshot wounds to his head and neck. The remaining three were reported to be in good condition. Police are still investigating, with no one yet taken into custody.

Early Saturday morning, in the Chicago Lawn district, an argument between two men led to one being fatally shot in the chest. The shooter remains unidentified. A third fatal incident happened in the Auburn Gresham area, where a man was killed, and another was critically injured after a shooting during a gathering of people.

In the Forest Glen neighborhood, a 64-year-old man was critically injured after being shot in the chest following a disagreement. The police have a person of interest in custody for this case.

On the South Side of the city on Saturday night, an unknown shooter injured three people standing on a sidewalk. The three victims are currently in good condition.

On Friday evening, a teenager was shot and killed in the Auburn Gresham area, and another man was shot and killed in the Loop district. Neither case has any suspects in custody yet.

In a non-fatal incident, a 13-year-old boy was grazed by a bullet in the South Shore neighborhood while riding his bike. He is reported to be in good condition. Police investigations are ongoing.
