(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Barack and Michelle Obama’s reaction to the US Supreme Court’s ruling that affirmative action for college admission is unconstitutional is a “lie from the pit of hell,” Republican US Senator and presidential candidate Tim Scott declared.
Scott’s declaration that the Obamas are lying came in a Fox News interview after, on Thursday, the Supreme Court ruled that college admissions based on race, i.e., “affirmative action,” violated the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment.
“The student must be treated based on his or her experiences as an individual — not on the basis of race… Many universities have for too long done just the opposite,” reads the 6-3 ruling by the court’s conservative majority.
Former First Couple Barack and Michelle Obama quickly criticized the ruling as harmful and “heartbreaking” to young people “wondering what their future holds.”
“Today is a reminder that we’ve got to do the work not just to enact policies that reflect our values of equity and fairness, but to truly make those values real in all of our schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods,” the former first lady said.
US Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), a black Republican running for president, reacted indirectly to the Obamas’ comments by slamming the leftist outcry as made up of lies.
“Sending the message that somehow the color of your skin means that you will not be able to achieve your goals from an educational perspective, from an income perspective or family formation – that is a lie from the pit of hell,” Scott stated.
“We will not be judged solely by the color of our skin. That’s what the ruling said today. But that is the story of America. That is a story of American progress and we can all celebrate that today,” he added.
The 2024 GOP presidential nomination hopeful elaborated on how he was excited by the Supreme Court’s ruling against affirmative action.
“What excites me the most about America is that when you look at the windshield of our future, it is bright for all our kids. Unfortunately, the radical left have been co-opted by the teachers’ unions… If we fix public education, we will make sure that every generation going forward will have access to opportunities,” the South Carolina Republican stated.
