(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has shocked not just conservatives but practically the entire nation, including his running mate, by declaring that he is in favor of abortions up to “full term.”

This revelation, which occurred during an episode of Sage Steele’s podcast, has notably caught his chosen vice-presidential candidate, Nicole Shanahan, off guard, NBC News reports, as cited by WND.
In the past, Kennedy endorsed abortion in the first three months of pregnancy.
During the podcast, Steele inquired about Kennedy’s views on abortion limitations.
“Should there be a limit or are you saying all the way up to full term, a woman has a right to have an abortion?” she asked.
Kennedy’s reply emphasized a non-interventionist government approach.
“Even if it’s full-term, I think we have to leave it to the women rather than the state,” he said.
Shanahan appeared taken aback by Kennedy’s remarks. In a prior episode with Steele, when Shanahan was asked if she aligned with Kennedy’s perspective of permitting abortions at full term, she expressed astonishment and clarified.
“My understanding with Bobby’s position is that, you know, every abortion is a tragedy, is a loss of life. My understanding is that he absolutely believes in limits on abortion, and we’ve talked about this. I do not think, I don’t know where that came from,” she said.
Shanahan also implied that there might have been a “miscommunication.”
“As a mom, and a person with a womb, I don’t like the feeling of anyone having control over my body. It is coercive. It is wrong. But, I am also a woman that would not feel right terminating a viable life living inside of me, especially if I am both healthy and that baby is healthy. I can hold both beliefs, as someone who believes in the sacredness of life, simultaneously,” RFK’s running mate said.
The NBC report also highlighted shifts in Kennedy’s abortion stance, previously suggesting support for a national abortion restriction after three months.
“I believe a decision to abort a child should be up to the women during the first three months of life,” Kennedy told NBC News previously.
However, his campaign later released a statement explaining that Kennedy had “misunderstood” the repeated questions on the topic.
Robert Kennedy thinks full term abortion is perfectly fine.
