(TheRedAlertNews.com) – US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has called upon America to accept more foreign migrants and grant citizenship to “all 11 million” illegal aliens residing unlawfully in the United States.
You can watch a video clip of Schumer’s statement at the end of this post.
Speaking before reporters at the US Capitol in Washington, DC, on Wednesday, Schumer claimed that America’s population didn’t reproduce sufficiently.
“Now more than ever, we’re short of workers. We have a population that is not reproducing on its own with the same level that it used to,” the New York Democrat declared, as cited by Newsmax.
“The only way we’re going to have a great future in America is if we welcome and embrace immigrants. The ‘Dreamers,’ and all of them,” he stated.
Schumer said the Democrats’ “ultimate goal” was s to help not only the Dreamers, that is, illegals brought to the US as children, but also “get a path to citizenship for all 11 million [illegal immigrants]” in the country.
According to FAIR (Federation for American Immigration Report), there are currently 15.5 million illegal immigrants in the US.
In his remarks, the Senate Majority Leader attacked the critics of unrestricted immigration to the United States.
“Immigrants, undocumented, documented have a higher rate of employment and a lower rate of crime than average Americans — so all the BS spread by these right-wing people, the nastiness, it’s just not true. It just aggravates me!” Schumer said, as cited by The Daily Mail.
According to World Bank stats, America’s population growth stood at 0.1% in 2021, which was the country’s lowest on record since 1961.
Between 1968 and 2010, the US population growth rate hovered around 1% before declining to 0.8% and then falling to 0.5% in 2019.
During the early period of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, it rose to 1% before declining even more the following year.
According to the World Population Review, America’s slight population increases in the past few years are “driven by a high level of immigration.”
More than 5.5 million illegal immigrants – of them more than 1 million gotaways – have entered the US since Joe Biden became President 21 months ago. At least 2.3 million, including the gotaways, have remained inside the US.
According to the Brookings Institute, America’s white population has dropped from 69% in 2000 to 60% in 2019; the black population has retained a share of about 12%; the Hispanic population has increased from 12.6% to 18.5%.
In the 16 and below age category, Hispanics and Latinos’ share increased from 17.2% in 2000 to 25.8% in 2019.
According to CDC data, nearly 630,000 abortions were performed in the US in 2019. Of those, only about 10,000 (1.5%) were in cases of rape, incest, or when the mother’s life was in danger.
