(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Texas Governor Greg Abbott has a message for the Democrat Mayors of Washington DC and New York City who are angry because Abbott has bused illegal aliens to their cities: Don’t blame me, blame President Joe Biden and, while you’re at it, come on down to the Texas/Mexico border and I’ll show you what we’re battling when it comes to illegal immigration.
As The Washington Times recounts in, “Texas governor invites D.C., NYC mayors to visit border for personal look at migrant ‘crisis'”:
“Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Monday invited the mayors of New York and Washington to visit the border and get a first-hand look at the surge of illegal immigrants that are now overwhelming communities far from the boundary.
“Mr. Abbott urged the two Democratic mayors, who have been critical of the GOP governor, to instead turn their fire on President Biden, saying his ‘reckless open border policies’ are the reason for the unprecedented number of people being caught then released onto American streets.” [emphasis added]
In his letter to the two liberal Democrat mayors, Abbott added:
“‘As governor, I invite you to visit our border region to see firsthand the dire situation that only grows more urgent with each passing day, and to meet with the local officials, who like yourselves, realize this matter deserves immediate federal action. I also ask you to join me in requesting President Biden secure the border and put an end to this disastrous crisis.” [emphasis added]
There’s been no word back yet from the two big city mayors.
What is your opinion? Do you agree with Governor Abbott of Texas that the mayors of DC and New York City should stop blaming him for problems with illegal aliens and start blaming Joe Biden? Why or why not? Please share your thoughts by emailing [email protected]. Thank you.
The complaints by the two mayors have become a political headache for the Biden administration, which until now had brushed aside criticism about the border as conservative carping. https://t.co/ET57T3lWo6
