(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Just when American energy consumers – which realistically means every American – thought it couldn’t get any worse, it has and then some. The price of gasoline at the pump is already at record highs, and now, with today’s breaking news, that price is just going to keep going up and up and up even more.
Today, the price of crude oil hit $80 a barrel. Americans haven’t seen that figure in at least seven years. And, according to AAA, which tracks what Americans are paying for gasoline, the national average is currently $3.26 per gallon. An average not seen since 2014 when President Barack Obama was in the Oval Office of the White House. A quick look across the country finds that some Americans are now paying over $5 for a gallon of gas.

And, as if that wasn’t bad enough, just as Americans are filling up their tanks at home with heating oil to stay warm this winter, those prices are skyrocketing as well. All in all, energy prices, when it comes to oil and gas, are walloping Americans, and the worst may be yet to come.
What are you experiencing when it comes to energy prices in your community and across your state? Has the price of gasoline continued to rise where you live? Have you noticed an increase in the price of natural gas or heating oil? Has the cost of electricity from your provider risen? What do you believe is the reason the price of oil is reaching record highs? Is there a political component to the price increases? Or, do you think it’s a matter of the free-market and normal price fluctuations?
