(TheRedAlertNews.com) – In an ingenious solution, the Trump administration has taken a bold step in transforming the controversial CBP One app into CBP Home, now enabling self-deportation for illegal immigrants.

This change marks a notable pivot from the app’s original purpose under the Biden administration, reaffirming the commitment to securing our borders and enforcing immigration laws.

The CBP Home app, designed to assist illegal immigrants in voluntarily commencing their departure, is now a key element in this administration’s strategy to tackle illegal immigration.

This shift in technology’s application aims to provide a straightforward path for those opting to exit the United States, potentially avoiding severe consequences like detention or expedited removal.

“CBP Home strengthens our mission to secure the U.S. border by ensuring lawful entry for travelers and supporting effective enforcement. The app provides illegal aliens in the United States with a straightforward way to declare their intent to voluntarily depart, offering them the chance to leave before facing harsher consequences. This reinforces our commitment to enforcing U.S. laws and safeguarding national security,” said Pete Flores, Acting Commissioner, U.S Customs and Border Protection.

This innovative application is part of a broader clampdown on illegal immigration, working alongside stricter law enforcement efforts, Newsweek notes in a report.

In an effort to shut down illegal crossings, ICE has increased arrests and intensified deportations, particularly targeting migrants with criminal records or existing deportation orders.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem has emphasized that those who leave voluntarily might have the opportunity to return legally in the future, thus restoring integrity to the U.S. immigration system.

Her statement also makes it clear that those who do not comply will be deported and face permanent exclusion.

The CBP Home app goes beyond self-deportation features.

It offers functionalities like I-94 processing, inspection appointments for perishable cargo, border wait times, and bus manifest submissions.

These elements aim to facilitate legitimate travel and border operations, enhancing the security and regulation of entry into the United States.

“The Biden Administration exploited the CBP One app to allow more than 1 million aliens to illegally enter the United States. With the launching of the CBP Home app, we are restoring integrity to our immigration system. The CBP Home app gives aliens the option to leave now and self-deport, so they may still have the opportunity to return legally in the future and live the American dream. If they don’t, we will find them, we will deport them, and they will never return,” declared Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem.

Border agents have reported historically low levels of illegal crossings, with approximately 8,000 illegal entries last month.

Many migrants are also choosing to return south due to the fortified security postures on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border, encouraged by Mexico’s efforts to contain migration northward.

The transformation of CBP One to CBP Home stands as a testament to the Trump administration’s dedication to enforcing immigration laws.

By digital means, it aims to bring more regulation and enforceability to a historically lax system, sending a clear message that illegal entry will not be tolerated.
