(TheRedAlertNews.com) – Former President Donald Trump has been proven right in his prediction that Hunter Biden would get away with “light” charges from the US Justice Department.
On Tuesday, a letter filed in a US district court in Delaware revealed the long-anticipated federal probe into Hunter Biden has ended.
Under a deal that has outraged millions of Americans, Biden will plead guilty to misdemeanor charges of failing to pay income tax while reaching an agreement with prosecutors on a felony charge for illegally possessing a firearm as a drug user.
“The president and first lady love their son and support him as he continues to rebuild his life; we will have no further comment,” White House spokesman Ian Sams said.
A source familiar with the investigation into Hunter Biden said the DOJ would seek probation for the tax charges, i.e., no prison time, Newsmax reports.
The Hunter Biden news comes amid revelations by House Republicans into alleged bribery and corruption schemes involving Joe Biden, his son, and foreign nationals.
Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump was slapped with dozens of severe charges in a federal indictment.
Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign reacted to the Hunter Biden news with a statement entitled, “President Trump Was Right.”
“It’s all about ELECTION INTERFERENCE. They don’t want to run against me. I ran twice, I did much better the second time, getting millions and millions more votes than the first, a record for a sitting President, and am leading Biden in the polls, by a lot,” Trump declared.
“They are the Party of Disinformation! They are using the DOJ & FBI against me to Rig the 2024 Election. They’ll hit Hunter with something small to make their strike on me look ‘fair.’ Nothing about these Fascists is fair or honest. FIGHT!” he added.
The 45th president of the United States later gave additional comments on Truth Social.
“Wow! The corrupt Biden DOJ just cleared up hundreds of years of criminal liability by giving Hunter Biden a mere “traffic ticket.” Our system is BROKEN!” he wrote.
“People are going wild over the Hunter Biden Scam with the DOJ!” Trump declared.
